"Ageōmétrētos mēdeìs eisítō." Such is motto over the entrance to Plato's Academy.
Geometry has a powerful connection to chess players' ability of visulization and creating meaningful connections even without the sight of the chess board. Despite the stereotype of chess players' innate ability to be great at math, I never excelled at mathematics as I went to school.
In my teenage years I started to focus on mastering the discipline just the same way I approached learning chess, as I became grandmaster at the age of 15. The results certainly followed as most importantly I learned to appreciate the beauty of geometry. Thus there are no miracles, but only hard work and dedication!
